Bogotá, officially Bogotá, Distrito Capital, abbreviated Bogotá, D.C., and formerly known as Santa Fe de Bogotá during the Spanish Imperial period and between 1991 and 2000, is the capital and largest city of Colombia. The city is administered as the Capital District, as well as the capital of, though not politically part of, the surrounding department of Cundinamarca. Bogotá is a territorial entity of the first order, with the same administrative status as the departments of Colombia. It is the main political, economic, administrative, industrial, cultural, aeronautical, technological, scientific, medical, educational and aiport center of the country and northern South America.

¡Los delató el olfato! Caninos de la Policía frustraron envío de 10 kilos de marihuana en Bogotá
operativo de control adelantado por la Policía Nacional permitió interceptar un cargamento de marihuana que pretendía ser transportado a través de una empresa de mensajería. La sustancia fue detectada gracias al trabajo de dos caninos especializados en la detección de narcóticos, que alertaron a los uniformados durante una jornada de inspección. El procedimiento fue realizado por integrantes de la Seccional de Carabineros y Protección Ambiental, quienes desarrollaban labores de registro y verificación en plataformas destinadas al despacho de encomiendas hacia diferentes regiones del país. Los caninos alertaron sobre dos cajas sospechosas Mientras inspeccionaban los paquetes que serían enviados, los dos ejemplares entrenados para la detección de sustancias estupefacientes marcaron de manera positiva dos cajas de cartón. Tras la señal emitida por los caninos, los uniformados realizaron la apertura y revisión de las encomiendas, encontrando en su interior un total de 11 paquetes envueltos en bolsas plásticas y vinipel, material utilizado para ocultar la sustancia. ¡Ataque sicarial desató caos! Un muerto y cuatro heridos en el noroccidente de Medellín
nuevo episodio de violencia se registró en el noroccidente de Medellín durante la noche del sábado, luego de que un ataque con arma de fuego dejara una persona muerta y otras cuatro lesionadas en el barrio Belalcázar, comuna 5 (Castilla). La víctima fatal fue identificada como Santiago Monroy, de 30 años, quien murió en el lugar tras recibir varios impactos de bala. En el mismo hecho también resultaron heridas cuatro personas —una mujer y tres hombres—, quienes fueron trasladadas a centros asistenciales para recibir atención médica. La alerta llegó a través de la línea de emergencias De acuerdo con el reporte preliminar de las autoridades, el caso ocurrió en la calle 103EE con carrera 63D y fue conocido luego de una llamada a la línea de emergencias 123 que alertó sobre una persona lesionada por arma de fuego. Al llegar al sitio, uniformados de la Policía encontraron a Monroy tendido sobre la vía pública, sin signos vitales. Entre tanto, los demás lesionados ya estaban siendo trasladados para recibir atención médica. Según la información oficial, los cuatro heridos presentan impactos de bala en las extremidades inferiores y, hasta el momento, ninguno reviste gravedad. Las primeras hipótesis apuntan a un posible ajuste de cuentas Las investigaciones indican que Monroy había recuperado recientemente su libertad tras permanecer recluido en un establecimiento penitenciario. Con base en ese antecedente, una de las líneas investigativas contempla que el homicidio podría estar relacionado con un presunto ajuste de cuentas asociado a la estructura delincuencial conocida como Toscana. Sin embargo, las autoridades insisten en que esta hipótesis continúa siendo verificada y que aún no existe una conclusión definitiva sobre los móviles del crimen. Murió una de las víctimas de la conflagración en vivienda del Popular Además de analizar esa hipótesis, los investigadores recopilan testimonios y demás elementos probatorios para esclarecer lo ocurrido. De acuerdo con el reporte diario de homicidios de la Secretaría de Seguridad de Medellín, con este caso la ciudad alcanza 151 homicidios registrados durante 2026, una reducción de 42 casos frente al mismo periodo del año anterior.
