Bogotá, officially Bogotá, Distrito Capital, abbreviated Bogotá, D.C., and formerly known as Santa Fe de Bogotá during the Spanish Imperial period and between 1991 and 2000, is the capital and largest city of Colombia. The city is administered as the Capital District, as well as the capital of, though not politically part of, the surrounding department of Cundinamarca. Bogotá is a territorial entity of the first order, with the same administrative status as the departments of Colombia. It is the main political, economic, administrative, industrial, cultural, aeronautical, technological, scientific, medical, educational and aiport center of the country and northern South America.

.- La tragedia que estremeció al barrio Popular de Medellín el pasado 15 de julio ha cobrado una víctima fatal en las últimas horas. La mujer, que se encontraba dentro de su residencia junto a su pareja cuando inició la conflagración, no logró sobrevivir a la gravedad de las heridas. Según los reportes preliminares, el incendio habría sido provocado y si no es por la ayuda de los vecinos, la mujer habría muerto calcinada en el lugar. El trágico saldo del incendio Tras la emergencia, las autoridades de salud confirmaron la gravedad de las lesiones sufridas por las víctimas: Fallecimiento: La mujer presentaba quemaduras de tercer grado en el 70 % de su superficie corporal. Pese a los esfuerzos médicos, su cuerpo no resistió y se confirmó su deceso, 10 días después del incendio. En recuperación: El hombre que la acompañaba sufrió quemaduras de segundo grado en el estomago y en los brazos. Actualmente, se recupera de manera satisfactoria en un hospital del norte de Medellín. Así fue la respuesta a la emergencia El día de los hechos, el sector vivió momentos de angustia. Los equipos de rescate y paramédicos llegaron al lugar para estabilizar a las víctimas en medio de la emergencia. Tras los primeros auxilios, ambos fueron trasladados de urgencia a una institución hospitalaria, donde recibieron atención médica especializada y multidisciplinaria. Ante la gravedad de la situación, el mismo 15 de julio el alcalde de Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, se había pronunciado sobre el presunto ataque, rechazando lo sucedido y activando las rutas de atención: «Lamentablemente, dos personas resultaron gravemente lesionadas… Toda nuestra solidaridad con ellos y sus familias. Desde la Alcaldía de Medellín brindamos acompañamiento psicosocial y seguimos atentos a su evolución. .- Lo que comenzó como precipitaciones leves en el norte del área metropolitana rápidamente evolucionó hasta cubrir la totalidad de los municipios del Valle de Aburrá. Las autoridades climáticas mantienen el monitoreo constante ante la intensidad de las lluvias en zonas específicas. La noche en la subregión antioqueña ha estado marcada por un sistema de precipitaciones que fue ganando fuerza con el paso de las horas. De acuerdo con los reportes emitidos en tiempo real por el Sistema de Alerta Temprana de Medellín y el Valle de Aburrá (SIATA), las lluvias habrían iniciado su recorrido en el extremo norte y oriente, para luego generalizarse sobre todo el territorio. La red pluviométrica de la entidad permitió trazar la rápida evolución de este evento meteorológico, alertando a la ciudadanía sobre las condiciones de las vías y los caudales. Así ha sido la evolución de las lluvias El monitoreo constante del SIATA evidenció cómo el fenómeno climático se fue intensificando y desplazando a lo largo de la noche: Inicio en el norte: Hacia las 9:30 p.m., se registraron las primeras precipitaciones de carácter leve (inferiores a 1 mm) en los municipios de Girardota y Copacabana, así como en los límites con Bello y el oriente de Medellín. Aumento de intensidad: Minutos más tarde, el sistema tomó fuerza, extendiéndose hacia algunos sectores de Barbosa y consolidándose en el oriente de Medellín, alcanzando acumulados de hasta 2 mm en un lapso de cinco minutos. Cobertura total: Sobre las 10:20 p.m., el SIATA confirmó que las lluvias ya cobijaban a todos los municipios del Valle de Aburrá. Fuertes lluvias en el Area Metropolitana, registra SIATA a las 10:20pm de este sábado 25 de julio Zonas de mayor atención Actualmente, las autoridades y los organismos de gestión del riesgo centran su atención en las áreas donde el agua cae con mayor severidad. Según el último reporte, los mayores acumulados se estarían presentando en el municipio de La Estrella, así como en el centro y suroriente de Medellín (2 mm en los últimos 5 minutos). Se recomienda a los conductores transitar con extrema precaución debido a que el asfalto mojado y la poca visibilidad podrían incrementar el riesgo de incidentes de tránsito en las principales vías de la ciudad.
