Bogotá, officially Bogotá, Distrito Capital, abbreviated Bogotá, D.C., and formerly known as Santa Fe de Bogotá during the Spanish Imperial period and between 1991 and 2000, is the capital and largest city of Colombia. The city is administered as the Capital District, as well as the capital of, though not politically part of, the surrounding department of Cundinamarca. Bogotá is a territorial entity of the first order, with the same administrative status as the departments of Colombia. It is the main political, economic, administrative, industrial, cultural, aeronautical, technological, scientific, medical, educational and aiport center of the country and northern South America.

Con total normalidad arranca la jornada electoral: Colombia elige a su nuevo presidente
mesas de votación en todo Colombia y en los puntos habilitados en el exterior han abierto sus puertas de manera oficial. Desde este momento, millones de colombianos están convocados a las urnas para ejercer su derecho al voto en una jornada electoral histórica que definirá quién ocupará la Casa de Nariño para el período constitucional 2026-2030. En este balotaje definitivo, los ciudadanos elegirán entre las dos fórmulas que obtuvieron las mayores votaciones en la primera vuelta del pasado 31 de mayo: Iván Cepeda (junto a su fórmula vicepresidencial Aída Quilcué) y Abelardo de la Espriella (junto a José Manuel Restrepo). Para que los ciudadanos puedan ejercer su derecho de forma ágil, segura y sin contratiempos, las autoridades electorales recuerdan los aspectos clave que todo votante debe tener en cuenta el día de hoy: Lo que debe saber para votar hoy: 1. Horario de la jornada Las urnas estarán abiertas de manera continua desde las 8:00 a. m. hasta las 4:00 p. m. Las autoridades recomiendan acudir temprano para evitar aglomeraciones de última hora. Es importante tener en cuenta que a las 4:00 p. m. se cerrarán los accesos a los puestos; si un ciudadano se encuentra en la fila a esa hora pero el jurado no ha recibido su documento, no podrá votar. 2. El único documento válido Para poder sufragar, el único documento de identificación permitido es la cédula de ciudadanía original. Se puede presentar en cualquiera de sus formatos válidos: la cédula física amarilla con hologramas o la cédula digital (ya sea mediante la aplicación oficial en el dispositivo móvil o el documento físico en policarbonato). No se permite votar con pasaporte, contraseña, libreta militar ni licencia de conducción. 3. Consulte su puesto y mesa con anticipación Para evitar confusiones, se aconseja verificar el lugar exacto de votación antes de salir de casa. Los ciudadanos pueden consultar su puesto y mesa ingresando su número de documento en la sección «Consulte su lugar de votación» de la página web oficial de la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil o a través de las aplicaciones móviles de la entidad. Restricciones vigentes y Ley Seca La medida de Ley Seca se encuentra rigiendo en todo el país y se extenderá hasta las 6:00 a. m. del lunes 22 de junio. Adicionalmente, recuerde que está prohibido el uso de teléfonos celulares, cámaras fotográficas o de video dentro de los puestos de votación y en los cubículos. Si lleva un acompañante menor de edad o su mascota, verifique las directrices del puesto, ya que el ingreso con animales está permitido bajo condiciones de control (con correa y collar). 5. Beneficios de exigir el Certificado Electoral Al finalizar su votación, no olvide pedirle a los jurados su certificado electoral. Este documento físico le otorga por ley múltiples beneficios, entre los que destacan: Medio día de descanso remunerado en su jornada laboral (dentro de los 30 días siguientes a la elección). Descuento del 10% en el costo del trámite del pasaporte. Descuento del 10% en el valor de la matrícula en instituciones oficiales de educación superior. Rebajas en el tiempo de servicio militar obligatorio y beneficios en la adjudicación de becas o subsidios de vivienda del Estado. Los dispositivos de seguridad de la Fuerza Pública y los observadores nacionales e internacionales ya se encuentran desplegados para garantizar que esta jornada de segunda vuelta presidencial transcurra en paz, transparencia y total normalidad en cada rincón de Colombia.

.- El día de hoy se lleva a cabo la segunda vuelta de las elecciones presidenciales en Colombia. Para facilitar el proceso y evitar contratiempos, la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil hace un llamado a los ciudadanos para que revisen su puesto y mesa de sufragio antes de salir de casa. Esta consulta rápida y segura se encuentra habilitada de manera virtual a través de su portal oficial: Durante esta jornada democrática, los electores recibirán un tarjetón en el que encontrarán las opciones definitivas para elegir al próximo mandatario del país. Los candidatos que disputan la Presidencia de la República en esta segunda vuelta son el continuista Iván Cepeda y Abelardo de la Espriella, este último logró avanzar a esta instancia definitiva tras haber alcanzado una cifra superior a los 10.300.000 votos en los comicios de la primera vuelta que representaron más del 43% de los votos, mientras que Cepeda fue el segundo con 9 millones 450 mil votos, menos del 41%. Adicionalmente, y como es mandato constitucional, la tarjeta electoral cuenta con su respectiva casilla para aquellos ciudadanos que decidan ejercer su derecho a través del voto en blanco.
